So, I've created a small program to solve this annoying problem. Touchpad Blocker automatically disables mouse events for a few moments if some key has been pressed.
You can download and use Touchpad Blocker program absolutely free!
Wish you happy typing :)

Hi, I was suffering from this problem of jumping cursor, and found your sw "Touchpad Blocker". I installed this but. It is not working. The prog says it is running. but cursor still jumps. Pl help. I use HP laptop Pavillion dv4 tu 1502. It is about nine months old. The problem started about two months back.
Try to set a bigger threshold 1000 mSecs for example.
If it doesn't help, maybe you have a hardware problem with your computer.
Hey there,
I have installed this program onto my Lenovo G550, which has Alps Pointing-device touchpad. Unfortunately, Lenovo driver developers forgot (or were too lazy) to implement this feature into the official driver, 7.7.1602.320. I'm really disappointed about them, because in G530 driver this is implemented, but this kind of driver doesn't work on my laptop, the touchpad does nothing when installed.
This application is a great one, thank you for taking time and effort to develop it. If you have more time please try to fix the following tiny problem: When TouchPad Blocker blocks a click, it delays typing, so if I accidentally make a touchpad click while I'm typing fast input text appears staggering. It's not a big problem, though, but noticable, also all touchpad blockers do the same I tried (TouchPadPal and TouchFreeze), however they did not offer an option to set a threshold.
Cheers,

thank you so much for creating this! i had been looking for a way to disable my touchpad after so many times of losing typed data because it the cursus jumped.. This worked perfectly!
Welcome :)
Touchpad blocker would be just what I need if the delay were on my touchpad and not on my wireless mouse! You must have encountered this problem before. What to do?
The 500 millisecond delay is on my wireless mouse, not on my touchpad! Got a remedy?
great tool!
I just ask if it would be possible to disable completely that nasty "tapping" feature of my touchpad. In other computers, I see they have the option to disable tapping in their drivers, but on mine (Fujitsu Amilo xi2528) there is no such option.
And I hate this "auto-click", when I want to click I prefer to use the buttons below the touchpad. This particularly when doing graphics, the "tapping" feature causes the drawing operation to terminate whilst you was dragging the pointer...
like tru blue wrote, it does not work. lenovo t420s with synaptics, windows 7 pro 64.
