I've add some new features to Auto Mute program. Now you'll get a balloon tooltip notification if sound is muted on system startup or resume. Some people ask me to add such reminder, because they always forget to turn the sound on after computer restart.

Created just for fun - Auto Mute

I've created small software utility to make notebooks silent when it's turning on or is waking up from a sleep mode. So the computer becomes quiet even if you forgot to turn the sound off in previous session. Very useful if you have small children or are trying to work in public places, on conferences for example.

Actually, this is my old idea of software for people who have small children, but nobody wants to make such tool for years. So if you want to have something you cannot buy, do it by yourself :)






Hope this program will be helpful to many people. If you need additional feature or know how to improve this sound control software let me know.

Google Don't Fix Bugs

I've found serious bug in Google search engine two weeks ago, report it to Google and webmaster forum, but they don't fix it at all :( Here is a bug description: Such code replaces actual page in search result with a redirected one: <a href="/files/xxx-yyy.exe" target="_blank" onclick="setTimeout('self.location.href=\'/download/ok.html\'', 1500)">Download</a> Google spider has a bug. Each unique page on site is replaced with the same "thank you" page. So all pages are dropped from index as duplicated content and/or cloaking technique. Today, google cache for www.data-cure.com site were updated, but the bug is still there :(

How to repair screen in notebook

I've replaced LCD panel in ASUS M3000Np notebook. It wasn't too hard.

Broken screen in Oksana's notebook:

Well, lets try to fix this using the screen panel from another old notebook.

Disassembling of notebook case is a quest kind of game :)

We need to remove plastic frame around the screen:

Screen frame is easy to remove now, but be careful! Use screwdriver to release latches.

We've got access to LCD panel. Remove 4 corner screws and take out old screen.

Take new screen panel and compare to the old one. They should absolutely match each other.

After replacing and plugging the screen panel, better turn the notebook on to verify does everything works fine :)

Seems just fine, so assemble the notebook.

Repairing is complete. Everybody's happy :)

Basketball

I haven't play basketball since 2004, but I'd like this game in school and institute. Some of my friends decided to make a bloggers community for basketball funs, and play the game 1-2 times a week. We are playing in school gym on Wednesday evening and Sunday noon. Here is a video of our game:
